Following Neuro Surgery

There are many reasons people may require neurosurgery. Brain surgery may be required for brain tumours or intercranial haemorrhage or blood clots from trauma. There are spinal surgery options for a variety of pathologies such as spinal stenosis, disc herniation, cauda equina syndrome or from trauma. Other conditions such as Chiari malformation and syringomyelia, hydrocephalus, and spina bifida may also require neurosurgery.

At Therapy Matters we have the specialist skills to be able to assess and treat your individual problems, which will be identified after any surgery. These problems may include impairments such as weakness, sensation issues, pain, stiffness, and difficulties with balance and mobility. We will work with you to offer a bespoke and effective physiotherapy treatment programme to improve your movement and function and to help you in your road to recovery. Please phone us if you want to discuss this further or have any questions we can help with.
